The basketball season for the boys varsity team came to an end on Feb. 27. These photos were taken during the senior night blackout game on Feb. 20 against Downers Grove South, which ended in a 61-47 win for the Lions. This team has had an overall record of 23 wins and seven losses. The Lions headed into the playoffs after the Blackout Game. 

During the playoffs, the Lions beat Oak Lawn High School by a 55-51 score after being down four points with 40 seconds left in the game. The team lost to Curie High School in the second round of the playoffs, 51-73. With an 11-1 record across all conference matchups, the team still celebrates its success. Being senior night, the Blackout Game was important to every athletic team involved, as the poms, competitive cheerleading, and sideline cheer teams performed throughout. This pivotal game acknowledged the hard work and dedication seniors put into their sport throughout their time at LT.
