The First Methodist Church of LaGrange located at 100 W. Cossitt Avenue is hosting their 10th annual “Attic Rummage Sale.”

On Sept. 28 the sale will be going on from 5-8 pm with a 20% mark-up. On Sept. 29 from 5-8pm only regular pricing is available. On Sept. 30 the sale will be going on from 9 am-noon in which all bags will be 50% off.

There are 24 distinct sections in the sale: Toys, clothing, books, electronics, furniture, holiday, household, sports and outdoor, Hattie Koher, a chair for the event, said. Each section has its own coordinators that organize and price the items.

“It takes the entire church family working together to make the event possible, and it’s one of my favorite things the church does because I spend the week seeing so many people from our church family, working hard together to make something awesome possible,” Koher said.

All the profits of the sale go towards mission and nonprofit work, Koher said. Last year the church raised $28,000 that went towards the church’s mission trips, programs, and other outside charities. This year, the church hopes to raise $15,000 from the sale and a remaining $15,000 from donations.
