Crumbl Cookies, which started in 2017 as a small family-owned business in Utah, has grown exponentially over the past five years to become what it is today. With 585 locations across America, 1 North La Grange Rd. has just become their newest addition. Crumbl Cookies La Grange opened Sept. 15 at 8 a.m. While the shop has only been open for a short period of time, they have already made a sizable impact on the community, La Grange location co-owner Deborah Paton said.

“[Crumbl Cookies La Grange] can average anywhere from 800 to over 3,000 customers a day,” Paton said. “La Grange is a very family oriented town, but we’ve had people come in from as far as Midway Airport, Chicago, North Riverside, and as far south as Burr Ridge and Darien.”

One distinct difference between Crumbl Cookies and other bakeries in La Grange is that Crumbl Cookies has a rotating menu of more than 200 different flavors, with an entirely new menu each week. These menus often go along with weekly themes, such as autumn flavors, Minions week (based on the new release of “Minions: Rise of Gru”), breakfast week, and more, Paton said. These menus are announced every week on Sunday at 7 p.m. standard time on the company’s TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook pages. The only cookie that remains in rotation every week is their classic milk chocolate chip cookies.

“Personally, my favorite [specialty cookie] was the mooncake from Minions week,” employee and LT alumnus Roberta Vesely said. “I really like the almond and white chocolate filling it had.”

Along with the joy the employees have found simply from working around tasty sweets all day, the family oriented environment in La Grange and in store has provided employees with an extremely positive atmosphere, Vesely said.

“[My favorite part about this job is] the people,” employee Max Jimenez said. “It literally feels like that show Zoey 101. The [Pacific Coast Academy] people; how sarcastically joyous everyone is. Everyone has their best friend at work.”

To apply for a position, visit Crumbl Cookies’ website, crumblcookies.com, for an online application. Flyers are also available in store, and applications are available on Indeed, an online job searching website. Crumbl Cookies is always welcoming new employees to their location and are specifically looking for people available for day shifts and Saturday shifts, Paton said.

Their general hours of operation are Monday–Thursday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday–Saturday 8 a.m. to 12 a.m., and they are closed on Sundays.
